The Way of Saint James

A journey in the footsteps of masters, to Santiago de Compostela

Dating back some 1200 years and set against a general renewed interest in pilgrimages, the Way of St. James has become Europe's most popular path. The main route, the Camino Francés, leads from the peaceful French village Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, situated in the Pyrenees, to Santiago de Compostela. Pilgrims have to cover a distance of almost 500 miles. 500 miles of walking, beauty, and maybe even spiritual enlightenment.

German pilgrim Volker Wischnowski has captured the Camino at its most beautiful on film and created an informative and vivid representation of this popular path as it is today. The film also features interviews with other pilgrims, the author´s own thoughts and professional English narration.
